Calexico is a Mexican-flavored project of Giant Sand/Friends of Dean Martinez members Joey Burns (bass) and John Covertino (drums), who formed the group in 1996 in Tucson, Arizona, where they reside. They are currently touring to support their latest work, 'Algiers,' the band's seventh full-length album, named in tribute to the New Orleans neighborhood in which they recorded the album.

The easiest category to put the San Diego band Chon in would be “instrumental,” but that doesn’t do the band justice. On their debut full-length "Grow,: the band incorporates prog rock and jazz with lightning quick picking, staccato drumming and buoyant melodies.

Singing predominantly in his native language of Dioula as well as French, English, Arabic and Hebrew, Alpha Blondy creates lyrics that convey strong political attitudes and a fine sense of humor. Jesse McCartney


Jesse McCartney is a pop-rock singer-songwriter and actor. He was born in Westchester County, N.Y., in 1987 and his career began in 1998. McCartney achieved fame in the late 1990s on the daytime drama, "All My Children," as JR Chandler. He later joined the boy band Dream Street and eventually branched out into a solo musical career.

Us the Duo


In 2011, two emerging solo artists from opposite sides of the country randomly collided, fell in love, and combined their talent into Us The Duo. A few successful YouTube videos (more than 23 million views) encouraged these songwriters to write their own music together, leading them to produce their first self-titled album, "Us." After its release, Michael & Carissa Alvarado got married and have been traveling and playing music together ever since.

Toad the Wet Sprocket


Their name taken from a Monty Python sketch, Toad the Wet Sprocket's mellow, melodic folk-pop sound made them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990's.
