Emancipator (Doug Appling) played his first live show in July 2009, opening for Bonobo at the Roseland Theater (cap. 1500). Since then, he’s toured with Bassnectar, STS9, Pretty Lights, drawn crowds at festivals like Trinumeral and Symbiosis, and closed out Sound Tribe Sector 9’s late night parties in Denver at the request of the band.

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult

Originally formed in 1987, Chicago's My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult started when Frankie Nardiello and Marston Daley met in 1987 while touring with the band Ministry. The pair conceived of an art film called 'My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult' (the title taken from a British tabloid) which was never completed, but the soundtrack appealed to a record company. The band has added several members to their stage show, though the duo is the mainstay behind the name.
