Ira Glass: Seven Things I've Learned

Ira Glass started working in public radio in 1978, when he was 19, as an intern at NPRís headquarters in D.C. Over the next 17 years, he worked on nearly every NPR news show in nearly every production job: tape-cutter, desk assistant, newscast writer, editor, producer, reporter and substitute host. Glass moved to Chicago in 1989 and put "This American Life" on the air in 1995. It now has over 2.2 million listeners and 2 million downloads weekly, and has won all of the major broadcasting awards. In "Seven Things Iíve Learned," Glass will mix stories live onstage, using audio clips, music and video, for an inside glimpse into his wholly unique creative process.
