Pysanky II - Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Pysanky are intricate colorful designs created on the egg shell through the layering of beeswax and dyes. Participants in this workshop need to have completed the introductory pysanky workshop. You will be introduced to etching a brown and white chicken egg. Students will complete two eggs, a simple star-burst design on a brown egg and a flower design on a white egg, with the traditional batik method using kistka, bees wax, dyes, and candle. Open flames will be used, so oxygen equipment cannot be used on the premises where instruction is taking place. Pre-registration is required. To register visit our website, or call 253-931-3043.
