Scholarly Selections | The Story of the Cowlitz Farm


The Cowlitz Farm kept the Hudsonís Bay Company supplied with grain and pork from the 1830s-1850s, employing the latest technology to become one of the first corporate farms in the United States. In this talk UW Tacoma History B.A. Josiah Pollock will present his award-winning research about the Cowlitz Farm. A partnership of the UW Tacoma School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences and the Washington State History Museum, the Scholarly Selections series brings UWT scholarsí work to the public in an informal setting. Talks are held on the Third Thursday of the month when admission to the museum is free.
