Onalaska Farm and Homestead Tour

Animals, Green/Environmental, Tour, Benefit/Fundraiser

Onalaska Alliance presents its second annual Farm and Homestead Tour on Sunday, October 7, 2018, as part of the Tenth Annual Onalaska Apple Harvest Festival. The information booth at The Mason Jar Gathering Barn at 637 Leonard Road, Onalaska, will open at 11:30 a.m. to provide maps and information for the self-guided tour. The farms will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At the information booth, or at the first farm visit for those who already have a map, visitors will have the opportunity to register by making a $5 donation per car, or a $20 donation to include a commemorative tote bag. Each registrant will receive a hand stamp and be automatically entered in a prize drawing to be held after the tour at 4:20 pm at The Mason Jar. One need not be present to win. All proceeds will go to support the Onalaska Alliance and their local projects, including improvements and maintenance at the Carlisle Lake Park and Nature Trail. The Farm and Homestead Tour promises to be a fun day for all ages, with opportunities to learn about farm activities and to purchase products from local small businesses. Choose from among nine sites to learn about log home building, Bernese Mountain Dogs, horseshoeing, eco-friendly housing, wine, local farm and nursery products, and more. All sites are located within a radius easily accessible within the allotted time period. More information about each site can be found in the brochure available at the information booth and local businesses
