The 8th Annual Goatalympics

Animals, Community Event, For the Family

New Moon Farm Goat Rescue & Sanctuary is once again hosting the Goatalympics, an event for goat fans everywhere. It's the only event around where people can spend the day watching adorable goats and their people compete in foot races, goat-owner look-a-like contests, obstacle courses, costume contests and more. For the less athletic goats there are other types of competitions that include widest goat, biggest wattles, and longest horns. In addition to the events there will be several competitions for audience members and kids to participate in, including Goat Poop Bingo, musical chairs, trivia contests, and Guess the Goat's Weight. There will also be a raffle with thousands of dollars of prizes up for grabs, a beer garden featuring local breweries, and numerous food trucks. In 2017 the event drew over 5,000 spectators and 50 goat competitors. Ages of competitors ranged from 3 to 79. More details are at:
