Magic Hill Summer Harp Camp is where one can discover the true enchantment of the Celtic harp and hammered dulcimer. Beginners to advanced players are invited to attend harp camp where Philip and Pam Boulding teach on their beautiful 5-acres on the Puget Sound. Students learn to play these archetypal instruments, add to their repertoire and learn about composing and arranging. Campers stay beneath ancient firs or at nearby B&B's. Enjoy evenings filled with music, storytelling and conversation. Celtic harps and hammered dulcimers are available to rent or purchase. About Magical Strings - Since 1978 Philip and Pam Boulding have drawn a loyal following worldwide, captivated by their energetic arrangements of Celtic music and their own engaging compositions, intertwining Celtic roots with classical and world music influences. They have performed throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and Japan, toured and recorded with Dan Fogelberg, appeared on Garrison Keillorís ďA Prairie Home Companion,Ē and recorded 21 albums on four labels. Their new CD, Fairy Wind captures the exuberant spirit of Philip and Pamís journeys to Ireland and beyond, with 15 sparkling tracks recorded at Big Red Studio near Portland, Oregon, and engineered/co-produced Billy Oskay of Windham Hill fame. This CD features many their newest compositions on a variety of instruments, and includes their daughter Brittany, violinist with the Seattle Symphony. They have been touring for 39 years, including their tradition of Celtic Yuletide Concerts with their five children and grandchildren who perform with them on violin and Ďcello, Irish step dancing and more.
