Washington State History Day Contest

Contest runs from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM; sign in starts at 7:00 AM, the awards ceremony starts at 6:30 PM. Want to feel inspired about the next generation? You’re invited. Come and see more than 100 impressive History Day projects from around the state, created by middle and high school students. The students will present papers, websites, documentaries, exhibits, and performances addressing the theme “Conflict and Compromise in History.” Winners of this competition are invited to the National History Day contest to vie for significant prizes and recognition. Last year, a whopping 57 students from our state earned a spot at Nationals. Learn more about the tremendous endeavor that is History Day; or, better yet, volunteer your time to judge projects at the competition.
