The Japanese House

The Japanese House is the stage name of English singer/songwriter Amber Bain, who rose in the minimal electronic pop genre that music critics in the U.K. say British listeners find irresistable. In 2017 Bain made the BBC's "Sound Of" list, which identifies the 15 most exciting new music acts of the past 12 months. A few years before, her online demos caught the attention of Matt Healy, the front man of the band The 1975, and Bain was soon signed to their label, Dirty Hit.
